First we will look at the Big Island of Hawaii. You’ll definitely want to see the lava flows at Kilauea volcano, which you can do by helicopter or by foot. In the same day you can go snow-skiing on the slopes of Mauna Kea and bathe in the sun and warm sand on a Big Island beach. You can hike through rainforests and see rare plants and orchids, view ancient Petroglyphs or, if you are adventurous, you can try your luck catching a Marlin on a deep-sea fishing charter.

Maui is an island more commonly known as the ‘Valley Isle’ for obvious reasons. It offers fabulous opportunities to visit places such as Haleakala Crater and Lao Valley. If you enjoy taking pictures of the scenery you enjoy, then this island is for you.

Another fantastic island stop is Lanai, where you will find the Garden of the Gods among several other things to see. It’s smaller than the other islands and has two resorts, either of which are a great place for family vacations.

Next would be Molokai, or the ‘Friendly Isle’, stated so because it is a such friendly place to visit. Though it has been developed far less than the other Hawaii islands it still offers much to a visitor to its shores.

Oahu, ‘The Gathering Place’, is where you can find many beaches to get a tan on or surf. Diamond Head, Honolulu, Waikiki and Pearl Harbor are all located on this popular island.

Lastly, the island of Kauai. This is known as the “Garden Island” because it is such a beautiful island - people who vacation here never want to leave. Mark Twain came here and named Waimea Canyon the ‘Grand Canyon of the Pacific’. The Napali Coast boasts 1,000 foot cliffs dropping straight down to the ocean, and beaches offering the best sun and surf you will find anywhere. Superlatives are unnecessary because every word you could use would be true about this magnificent island. Were you to include only one in your Hawaiian vacation package, it must be this - but then we could say that about any of these beautiful Hawaiian islands.
