Often the very first question posed to most children after preschool or maybe older school, the typical reaction to the old question of “What did one does at child care Surprise AZ today?”, isn’t the response parents want.  “Nothing” “I don’t know” “I don’t remember” are surely typically the most popular answers for this timeless question.  However, we know, as parents, the reply is much deeper and contains great nuggets of knowledge that we can build the blocks of better communication.  So don’t simply stop on searching for out what your kids or children did at school but reprogram your strategy!

Follow these 4 steps to help engage your youngster after school!

1.Don’t ask open ended questions. Instead, focus on specific targeted questions which are made to provide an answer.  By way of example don’t ask “What happened at lunch today” but perhaps “Who did consume lunch with”.  Additionally, seek advice like “That which was your favorite thing today?” as opposed to “What did you are doing today” or did you use an upholstery stapler?  These questions help your son or daughter to choose a unique thing which you’ll then contact to find out more.
