How To Find Cheap Used Cars
It’s easier than at any other time in history to find cheap used cars by owner, thanks to the World Wide Web. eBay, Yahoo and other sites make it simple to find and compare features such as price, gas mileage and others. Avoid the sucker bets by keeping a few things in mind.
Not everything on the Internet is true. People often rely too much on the information in media such as television and the Internet. Not everything on the radio or television is true. The Internet isn’t an exception. Promises can be fabricated, as can proof of those promises. Unscrupulous individuals flock to the web. The snake oil smiles and slicked back hair can’t be seen during a remote negotiation. Scratches and dents can be edited out by anyone with an image software. And all too often people purchase used cars online, as is, without taking any of the usual used car buying precautions. It doesn’t mean everyone is lying or that every deal is a bad one, but don’t go in with closed eyes.
Have cheap used autos inspected before buying it. Test drive it with a stop at a garage. If it’s an online listing where no contact is expected, hire a garage to inspect the car for you. Many shops will look at a car for you. There’s no need to rely on the seller’s inspection or garage. An independent opinion is best. The purchase price and money for repairs can be saved with a small inspection fee.
Consider the bottom line price, not financed payments. Force the salesman to reveal the price, not just your monthly installments. Avoid the dealer’s financing because it’s often a way to jack up the price. Go in with your own financing or better yet save up to pay cash for the used car. Remember to demand a discount for a cash payment.
Cheap used cars are a reality. There are a lot of modern tools to aid in their purchase. Don’t let a shiny pitch trick you into a bad purchase.
