Over the last few months, traffic exchanges have really helped me to earn extra cash online.  The reason behind this success, is the fact that I took the time to advertise the right pages in over fifteen traffic exchanges. In other words, I did not just create accounts on these websites and then went to bed.  I was able to achieve this success by taking a few hours each day to surf for traffic.

Here are some of the ways you can use traffic exchanges to earn extra cash online. Traffic exchanges are used by many thousands of people worldwide. People generally use these websites for only one reason. They want to get traffic to their websites so that they can make sales.  In order to sell to your prospects, you have to interrupt their surfing and get them to look at your offer.  You must make the right kind of offer to them however. It must be something they want. The best offer you can send to traffic exchange surfers is something that relates to traffic and website sales.

The most effective way to make a good offer to someone on a traffic exchange is through a capture page. This may or may not require them to fill in an email address. The most important thing is to grab their attention while they are surfing. After that, you can proceed to making your pitch, including a request for their email address. Ensure that you follow-up these prospects over a short period of time, in order to make money. 

Some experts believe that more people will buy from you when you are more familier to them. When you follow-up with these prospects, you have to ensure that your offer is related to their needs. Do not forget that your offer must be something that your prospect desires, or else you make not earn that extra cash you are looking for.

In order to maximise the time you spend surfing for traffic, you must make use of tabs in your browsers. Firefox, and the new version of internet explorer use tabs. Some of the better exchanges that I have used are webbizinsider, trafficg, topsurfer, traffic-splash, and trafficswarm.  As you become more experienced in using traffic exchanges, you will develop your own favourites.  Traffic exchanges will not make you rich, but as you seek to earn extra cash online by using them, you can build large lists of prospects, which will lead to affiliate paychecks.
